ShopLink Pro ("ShopLink Pro," "we," "us," or "our") provides the ShopLink Pro platform. This policy explains what information the ShopLink Pro mobile app and website (shoplinkpro.ca) collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ShopLink Pro you agree to this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect only what is needed to operate the service:
- Account information — your name, email address, and/or phone number, and your role (vendor, shop, or installer), used to create and secure your account.
- Job and business data — jobs, invoices, vehicle details, customers, shops, parts, and related records that you or your organization enter into the app.
- Location information — when you use timesheet or job-tracking features, we collect your device location while the app is in use to record where work was performed. We do not track your location in the background.
- Photos and camera — images you capture or select for job documentation and inspections.
- Microphone / audio — voice memos you choose to record and attach to jobs.
- Device and usage data — basic technical information (device type, app version, error logs) used to keep the app reliable, and a push-notification token if you enable notifications.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide core features: managing jobs, installers, invoices, scheduling, and insurance documentation.
- To authenticate you and keep your account and data secure.
- To send job-related push notifications and email alerts you have enabled.
- To record timesheet and job-location data at your direction.
- To diagnose problems and improve the app's stability and features.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run ShopLink Pro, under agreements that limit their use of it:
- Supabase — secure database, authentication, and storage of your account and business data.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and our business. Data you enter on behalf of an organization may be visible to other authorized members of that organization (for example, a vendor and its installers and shops).
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data as described below.
Your Choices and Rights
- You can review and update your account information in the app.
- You can turn off location, camera, microphone, and notification permissions at any time in your device settings; some features may stop working without them.
- Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
Children's Privacy
ShopLink Pro is a business tool intended for use by adults in a professional capacity. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will notify you in the app.
